Hello, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who visited Jonathan Paragliding School. I'm principal Kim Dongsul.

First of all, let me explain why I used the name Jonathan.
What comes to your mind when you think of Jonathan?

If you think of "Jonathan Livingston Seagull written by American author Richard Bach "

you may think that you are similar in age to me.
Richard Bach's "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" was designated as a must-read book by my teacher when I was in middle school and was selected as a must-read book with my classmates.
In my memory, I had to give a book report, but I don't remember what I wrote down and submitted it, but a seagull named Jonathan, who only thinks about flying rather than eating, seems to have made me dream. It's a longing for the unknown world.

Born of Jiri Mountain, I thought Seoul was a very distant dream city,
I was afraid, curious, and wanted to challenge.
The name that instilled that dream and made me courageous was Jonathan.

In particular, this phrase in the book seems to have been the driving force behind me so far.
Let me introduce the phrase.

"We've been looking for fish for thousands of years. But now we have a purpose to live for. You have reasons to learn, discover, and be more free." -(Excerpt from Jonathan Livingston Seagull")

And, this was the phrase that someone else picked.

"Are you saying that I can fly?"”
"I'm saying you're free." (Excerpt from Jonathan Livingston Seagull")

Paragliding is both a reason for my life and a realization of freedom.
It's also the happiness I want to share with you.
