The cold winter cold wave is raging.

Where I am now is located at 500 Hill in Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do.
This is Jonathan Paragliding School Pyeongchang Education Center.

The gift that the cold winter brings is
It seems intense.
It's neither this nor that, it's not blindness
Nose-tingling cold,
The eye-watering blue sky, the red and vivid colors of the sunset,
And, the starlight shining brightly.

Bugs, who met Winter for the first time (the neighbor's dog is one year old this year, but is mostly a native of the training center)
Like a guard dog (performing its assigned duties),
This winter, we are experiencing a brand new winter in Pyeongchang.

Just as the cold of this winter cannot stop the warmth of the coming spring,
No one will be able to stop 2009 from flowing like water.

Just as you cannot bring back a toy boat that has been thrown into the river.
Letting go of 2009,
I need to plan for 2010.

I remember that the past summer was as hot as the current winter cold.
I remember the stifling heat of August 15, 2009.
And, I vividly remember the sub-zero cold in mid-December 2009.

Over the past 20 years with paragliders,
As if I remember the memories of joy, anger, sadness, and joy with my own body.
I will also try to physically remember the times to come.

I hope you have a happy new year in 2010.

I really like the mountains at 500 altitude.
I would like to send you my greetings in writing.
